Guideline for the prevention of neonatal Group B Streptococcal infection.

Pyrexia in labour / suspected chorioamnionitis

Amoxicillin IV 2g initially then 1g 6 hourly
PLUS Metronidazole IV 500mg 8 hourly or PR 1g bd
- If penicillin allergy, Clindamycin IV 900mg 8 hourly until delivery.
